This small holiday-village is very calm and sunny situated about 400 m from the mountain railway of Fieberbrunn. According to a legend, the fountain near its church, and later also the market town received the name Fieberbrunn (fever fountain) when Tyrolean Countess Margarete Maultasch was healed from fever after drinking from it.
