With the CamScripter App, an in-camera custom script interpreter, CamStreamer enhanced the fabric of traditional security with cutting-edge technology, embedding a new layer of features and data process flow in Axis IP cameras that allows you to:

  1. Leverage Axis camera processing power
  2. Create custom JavaScript micro-apps
  3. Process & Visualize any data (API, XML, JSON, …)
  4. Generate smart events and use them as triggers in your VMS
  5. Make your metadata searchable in your VMS (or any other system)


How does it work?

Everything is processed inside Axis devices by micro apps running within CamScripter App
Data is retrieved directly through RS-232 and USB serial ports
Values are displayed in the video via the CamOverlay App
Generated Events & Metadata are sent to VMS systems (like Axis Camera Station, Genetec, Milestone, etc.)
Event-triggered snapshots are automatically uploaded to shared storage solutions
