How does
PlaneTracker App work?

PlaneTracker App receives and filters ADS-B data, calculates the flight path, and adjusts the camera to ensure continuous monitoring of the aircraft. PlaneTracker App provides real-time visual monitoring of aircraft within the runway perimeter, helping identify potential risks such as bird collisions, runway obstacles, or mechanical issues. The camera delivers a crisp, detailed image of the aircraft continuously throughout take-off and landing.

PlaneTracker in Genetec Security Center

VMS integration

PlaneTracker App uploads recordings and searchable metadata to supported VMS platforms like Genetec Security Center, Milestone, and Axis Camera Station, providing critical input for incident investigations. Tracked aircraft are logged in reports where you can easily search by various parameters and jump directly to related video bookmarks, while in Genetec Security Center, you can also view them directly as a map layer.

PlaneTracker can track drones using Remote ID

Drone tracking

Precise, real-time location of both the drone and its operator to quickly de-escalate threats. PlaneTracker App receives Remote ID signals from Dronetag Scout, calculates the flight path, and adjusts the camera to ensure continuous monitoring of the drone or a drone operator. Simultaneously, the app sends the data, video feed, and recordings to the VMS.

Camera view adjusts continuously based on highly accurate ADS-B data. Regardless of weather conditions, or time of day, aircraft tracking is always on a rock-solid autopilot.

Whitelist/Blacklist

PlaneTracker App offers flexible tracking options: blacklist to exclude specific aircraft from tracking or the whitelist to focus only on listed aircraft.

Tracking priority

Set up distinct tracking zones, such as the runway, taxiways, or airspace, and assign priority levels to each. Flight in emergency state has top priority.

Application interface

The intuitive application interface of PlaneTracker App allows for easy manual selection of specific aircraft to track.

Exceptional coverage

With the Axis camera's top image quality and up to 31× optical zoom, aircraft can be tracked up to 15 km around the runway perimeter, providing a detailed view of air traffic.

Adding audio

An audio track of control tower communications can be integrated with the video feed to ensure all essential information is in one place, eliminating the need to search across multiple sources.

Offline mode

An offline mode enables the PlaneTracker App to operate without internet access. All activity occurs within a single LAN connecting the ADS-B receiver, Axis camera, control tower, and VMS.

Image Quality

Dynamically adjusts focus and zoom relative to aircraft distance and dimensions to preserve image sharpness and perspective.
