Chester IoT Hub developed by Hardwario is a multi-purpose IoT device used for data telemetry, sensor monitoring, and more. Our micro-app utilizes CamScripter App and CamOverlay App to collect data from Chester IoT Hub and insert it into a graphic template embedded in a live stream. An automatic update refreshes the displayed values every 60 seconds and during configuration changes.
Axis Communications sales engineers approached us with the idea of embedding current air quality information into a live stream. Our solution was a micro-app sourcing data from World Air Quality Index (WAQI), a non-profit project providing current air quality information. CamScripter App then inserts the information into a live stream with each respective entry color-coded according to WAQI's health impact categorization.
A hotel owner from Bald Head Island asked us to integrate data from his WeatherFlow weather station into a live stream. We achieved this by programming CamScripter App to download weather information from WeatherFlow's server and creating custom graphics with the help of the CamOverlay App.
With our micro-app, it's possible to display external data such as electronic scale readings directly into the video feed. We connected an electronic scale to a wifi converter via RS232 cable and used CamScripter App to collect data from the scale at set intervals. CamOverlay App then uses the data to populate a custom graphics table containing two fields: the value on the scale and the unit of measurement used.
