Robot playing Dodecaphony, Tallinn, Estonia

Human friendly robot YuMi is playing Twelve-tone technique music known also as Dodecaphony, which is a method of musical composition first devised in beginning of 20th century. One of the most known composers using twelve-tone technique was Arnold Schönberg and the technique has been used by Estonian composer Arvo Pärt too. The technique is based on the principle that none of the twelve half-tones used for the composition should not be played before all the rest are played. Possible number of dodecaphony series equals to number 12 factorial i.e. 479 001 600. Playing the whole composition by a human could take more than 100 years. Robot YuMi is capable to perform this composition.
