As the airspace becomes increasingly crowded, the demands on perimeter security are higher than ever. That’s why the PlaneTracker App is expanding its capabilities. Building on our precise aircraft tracking, we provide full support for detecting and camera-tracking drones and their operators based on the Remote ID signal. Secure your premises using top-tier PTZ cameras and get a perfect overview of exactly what is happening above you.
PlaneTracker App receives Remote ID signals from Dronetag Scout, calculates the flight path, and adjusts the camera to ensure continuous monitoring of the drone or a drone operator. Simultaneously, the app sends the data, video feed, and recordings to the VMS.
Remote ID regulations require modern drones to broadcast their location and identification data. Our receivers capture this data, process it, and display it in the Dronetag App. This allows you to see not only the drone's telemetry and model, but also the real-time location of its operator, enabling you to safely and quickly de-escalate dangerous situations.
Based on mandatory Remote ID identification, our system can detect and point your PTZ camera directly at the drone, identify the type of drone, pinpoint the drone operator's exact location, or even record physical appearance.
Why does tracking the drone operator matter? Capturing identifying details, such as the drone operator's clothing or nearby vehicles, provides invaluable data. For example, spotting a dark T-shirt and light trousers can help security teams swiftly intercept and apprehend the intruder.
This is the perfect solution for airports, critical infrastructure, and industrial facilities. Due to optical limitations, a camera can smoothly track a drone up to 1 km / 0.6 miles away. For absolute perimeter security, we recommend spacing your cameras at a maximum distance of 1 km / 0.6 miles apart.
You set the rules. Configure strict white/black lists for specific categories (drones / drone operators) and zone priorities. Plus, our priority logic allows you to prioritize drones over operators.
Our system combines the powerful optical and digital zoom of Axis cameras to track drones with high precision. This allows you to maintain a clear view and achieve maximum zoom at a distance of up to 1 km / 0.6 miles.
Video recordings, along with the metadata, can be sent to any VMS, where event detection can trigger automated actions. We have advanced integration with Genetec, Axis Camera Station, and Milestone.
To receive "Remote ID" signals from drones and drone operators, the app requires a dedicated Dronetag Scout receiver. For the best signal, 4 directional antennas are recommended.
To effectively track high-flying drones, cameras must be able to see above the horizon. The AXIS Q6225-LE PTZ camera delivers seamless tracking and full sky coverage thanks to its complete 180-degree vertical tilt.
PlaneTracker App is installed directly in the camera, relying solely on its computing power. This setup eliminates the need for extra hardware, reducing potential failure points and minimizing the risk of errors.
