YouTube Event Watchdog

It keeps your 24/7 stream alive if the camera connection is temporarily lost. If your stream is closed for any reason on YouTube's end, it will automatically restart it or send an email notification to the address defined in the stream settings. Combined with the permanent player embedded on your website, your audience will always see the active live stream.

Important Note on Watchdog Limits: The Watchdog service is designed to keep your live stream active by automatically recovering it during short-term connection drops or temporary outages. However, to efficiently manage YouTube API quotas, Watchdog monitoring is automatically disabled for any stream that remains continuously offline for more than one month.

If your stream has been inactive for over a month and monitoring has been terminated, simply delete or duplicate the stream in your camera's interface and start a new one. This will generate a new internal Stream ID, which will automatically have the Watchdog service active again.
