Cars on Náplavka Livestreamed with CamStreamer Apps

A multi-camera livestreaming solution powered by CamStreamer App and CamOverlay App helped Cars on Náplavka bring one of the Czech Republic's largest open-air automotive events to online audiences while enhancing the visitor experience with live information and interactive coverage.
About the project
Cars on Naplavka is one of the Czech Republic's best-known open-air automotive events, organized by Svět motorůmagazine. During its third annual edition, visitors had the opportunity to see the Czech premiere of the new Škoda Kamiq, explore electric vehicles, attend expert talks, and enjoy a rich entertainment program including live concerts.
To make the event accessible to people who could not attend in person, the organizers decided to livestream the show for the first time since it premiered in 2017. The production was carried out in coordination with the Slow TV project, with the goal of giving online viewers an immersive experience that closely reflected the atmosphere on site.

Technical Solution
The livestream production was built around three AXIS Network Cameras positioned at key locations throughout the event venue.
The main production camera was an AXIS P5655-E PTZ Network Camera installed on the main stage overlooking the exhibition area. Featuring HDTV 1080p resolution, 32× optical zoom, and Lightfinder 2.0 technology, the camera delivered detailed coverage of the venue while the PTZ Tour automatically moved between predefined positions, allowing operators to cover most of the exhibition area and zoom in on individual stands, attractions, and live performances.
The main camera runs CamStreamer App, which streamed the event directly to a streaming platform, while CamOverlay App was used to display custom graphical overlays identifying individual car brands, exhibition stands, and other points of interest. The integrated Info Ticker service provided viewers with continuously updated information about the four-day event program throughout the livestream.
To complement the main broadcast, two additional AXIS F41 Main Units equipped with AXIS F1005 Sensor Units and CamStreamer App were installed at unique locations. One camera provided a live view from the motorboat transporting visitors across the river, while the second streamed directly from the interior of the newly introduced Škoda Kamiq, offering viewers perspectives that would have been difficult to capture using traditional production methods.
Audio for the main broadcast was captured using an AXIS T8351 Mk II Microphone, providing clear sound throughout the event.
The Result
The completed solution enabled Cars on Náplavka to professionally livestream the entire event while extending its reach beyond visitors attending in person. Thanks to the flexible multi-camera setup, online audiences could experience different parts of the exhibition, follow the event program, and enjoy a more engaging broadcast than a traditional single-camera production could provide.

The livestreams attracted thousands of viewers and demonstrated that event organizers can deliver professional-quality broadcasts using a flexible and cost-effective camera-based solution. By combining CamStreamer App with CamOverlay App, the organizers successfully expanded the event's online presence while providing viewers with useful event information and creating greater visibility for exhibitors and partners.
