MEDview: Varbergs Motorklubb

Varbergs Motorklubb was founded in 1927. During the first years, the club organized outings for the elderly and family outings for club members and ran club competitions. In 1930, the first major competition was organized by VMK. A sand competition on Apelviks beach. The first motocross competition was held in 1950 at Sörsedammen. The first motocross competition at Anneberg was run in 1952 in front of 12,000 spectators. Over the years, VMK has since diligently arranged WC, EC and SM sub-competitions in both motocross and sidecar motocross. Today there are Folkrace, Minicross, Motocross and on the Anneberg track. Due to our stricter environmental and noise requirements, the motocross track has changed some turns and hopes to be able to meet these new requirements.
