Live LoonCam on Lake Vermilion

This is the fourth year for the Vermilion Lake Association's Live LoonCam, positioned on a post in the water and paired with a parabolic mic. It's at an undisclosed location on the 40-mile-long lake about an hour and a half north of Duluth, Minnesota. A pair of loons has built a nest on a small rocky island, their second attempt this summer to bring a chick into the world. Dangerous high waters and attacks by mink claimed the first two eggs in June, 2024 but the loons are trying again.
