On Monday, February 24, 2025, over 140 students, alumni, parents, and staff gathered to mark a historic moment in the life of the Catholic Newman Community at the University of Rochester—the ceremonial groundbreaking of the $7.3 million Joseph P. Mack ’55 Catholic Center and the William and Mary Christine Carpenter Catholic Chapel! After a multi-year journey—President Sarah Mangelsdorf, Bishop Salvatore Matano, Joe Mack ‘55, Bill and Chrissy Carpenter, and Amelia Swan ‘25 all gave witness and marked the profound impact this new home will have on our Catholic community and all students at Rochester. With more than 450 donors and more than 1,800 current Catholic students on campus, construction commenced in early May while work to raise the less than $1M to fully bring this incredible dream to life in the early Spring 2026! With a robust design, AXIS P1375-E Network Camera offers excellent video for outdoor scenes. It handles temperatures between -40 °C to 60 °C (-40 °F to 140 °F) and delivers details even in challenging light conditions or low-light, with Forensic WDR and Lightfinder 2.0. For pitch darkness, an optional IR kit is available. Enhanced security features such as signed firmware and secure boot ensure the integrity and authenticity of the camera’s firmware. Furthermore, tampering alarm and video streaming indicator ensure full control of the video. With CS mount and built-in camera rails, a bigger variety of lenses can be used.
