This camera is located at 2382 m above sea level, very near the highest point of the island of La Palma, Canary Islands, Spain. In the foreground of the image you see the last section of the GR-131 path, popularly known as the 'Ruta del Bastón', before reaching the summit of the Roque de los Muchachos. In the intermediate plane of the image you see a wide panorama of the eastern side of the crest of the Caldera, with recognizable landmarks such as those of 'Pico de la Cruz', 'Pico de Piedrallana' and 'Pico de la Nieve', while In the background of the image appear the profiles of the islands of Tenerife and La Gomera.
