Description

An educational and scientific project to monitor the nesting life of the Imperial eagle (Aquila heliaca), which lives in the Republic of Tatarstan. The northern border of the nesting distribution of this eagle passes through Tatarstan. This nest is located close to a populated area. In addition, the nesting site is in a technogenic environment. The project was started in 2021, and in 2026, it is the sixth season of observations. The male has not changed in this nest, and his name is Altyn. The first female in this nest was named Altynay, and in 2024, she did not return after the wintering season. In March 2024, she was replaced by a young female named Nova. Thus, in 2026, Nova is in her third breeding season. Throughout the years of observation, the nest has produced two chicks. The project's lead ornithologist is Rinur Bekmansurov.

Technical solution
