Security cameras make great bird cams. For bird-watching sites with a poor internet connection, such as the Foothills Birds project based near Brown-Lowery Provincial Park in Alberta, Canada, CamStreamer solves the issue of limited mobile data by scheduling live streams for daylight hours only. The stream runs simultaneously on the project's website and YouTube with a countdown to the start of the stream and a birdseed sponsorship message, both added to the feed via CamOverlay App.
Animals At Home
To keep in touch with their fans during the covid-19 lockdown, Melbourne Zoo launched a YouTube live stream called Animals At Home using CamStreamer App. To keep fans from different time zones engaged during nighttime hours when the animals were asleep, the zoo used CamOverlay App to add overlay graphics with a QR code, encouraging viewers to use the code to watch prerecorded content in the meantime.
Eagles Praha, a Prague-based baseball and softball club, was on the search for a user-friendly way to embed additional game data into their live-streamed matches. Our solution required only a pair of cameras and two applications: CamOverlay to insert a live feed into the stream as a picture-in-picture and CamStreamer App to stream the matches on the internet.
TOYA is one of the biggest CATV operators in Poland. For their traffic live stream, they were looking for a network camera system that could be integrated with their own applications. Axis network cameras with CamStreamer App onboard provided a cost-effective solution that was easy to integrate and manage.
